Saving socialization activities from an early age is one of the efforts to
strengthen children's financial awareness and skills. Saving is an activity
related to saving, namely setting aside part of income and consumption.
However, there is still a gap in teaching children how to save, especially from
a young age. Therefore, we hold savings exchange activities for elementary
school students, PAUD students, and RA students with the aim of helping
them get used to using money and live more frugally. So it is very important before saving to know the concept of wants and needs. This series of
activities starts from education on the importance of saving, saving simulations, and giving piggy bank prizes. Students are expected to
understand the concept of savings, benefits, tips, needs and desires of this
activity. The results of the observation show that most students understand
the meaning and benefits of saving and are able to distinguish what is
desired and needed. However, not many have practiced it. This socialization activity is made with a practical and fun system which is mainly aimed at fostering the spirit of saving in students and to build a strong foundation in financial management.
